Description

Sourced from Timo’s infamous Bloody Hill vineyard, this wine is similar to his other Pinot— Close Planted— except it is made with 100% whole bunch. The nose is powerful and wildly aromatic, while the palate is deliciously savoury, with incredible texture and fresh acidity. Put simply, it is an absolutely stunning wine. Great to drink now, but will age beautifully as well.

Mayer

Timo Mayer, originally from Germany, settled in the Yarra Valley where he organically farms a 2.5-hectare plot called Bloody Hill, known for its steep terrain. From this vineyard and a few other single sites, Timo crafts wines that prioritise elegance and purity over power. His hallmark is using whole-bunch fermentation, enhancing complexity, and producing silkier tannins and freshness—resulting in some of Australia’s finest Pinot Noirs. Though he humbly calls himself “just a farmer,” Timo is widely regarded as a legend. His wines are produced in tiny quantities and are truly exceptional, so don’t miss out.

Victoria's Rutherglen area is known for its fortified wines, particularly Muscat. This diversity in climates and soils allows Victoria to offer a wide range of high-quality wines, making it a vibrant and dynamic destination for wine enthusiasts.
