Martha Stoumen

In 2014, Martha Stoumen Wines was born, focusing on lesser-known grape varieties and regions within California. Martha works with a carefully selected group of growers who practice organic or regenerative farming, often sourcing fruit from old, dry-farmed vineyards. Martha’s winemaking philosophy is centred on minimal intervention. She allows fermentation to occur spontaneously with native yeasts and avoids unnecessary additives, including new oak, which she uses sparingly to let the fruit and terroir speak clearly. Her wines are often bottled unfined and unfiltered, with minimal sulphur, resulting in wines that are alive, vibrant, and reflective of their origins.

Napa Valley

Napa Valley, located in Northern California, is one of the world's most renowned wine regions. Famous for its exceptional wine quality and beautiful landscapes, it benefits from a Mediterranean climate with warm days and cool nights, ideal for viticulture. Particularly celebrated for its full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon and rich Chardonnay, which are among the most sought-after wines globally, the region also produces notable Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Sauvignon Blanc, each reflecting the valley's diverse terroirs and microclimates. Historically, Napa Valley's winemaking roots date back to the 19th century, but it gained significant prominence in the 1970s with its success in international wine competitions.
