General

1. Highbury Vintners (us, we, our) is registered at 71 Highbury Park, London, N5 1UA.

2. Highbury Vintners is a responsible alcohol retailer. It is against the law to supply alcohol to those less than 18 years old. Highbury Vintners will request photo ID for those we adjudge to be less than 18.

3. By ordering alcoholic products via e-mail or phone you agree that you are over 18 and will not supply alcohol to those under the legal age.

4. While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.

   
 

Ordering & Payment - Not Via PayPal

1. We accept cash and most major debit and credit cards (Maestro, Solo, Visa Electron, Visa and MasterCard). Unfortunately, we do not accept cheques or American Express cards.

2. First time orders placed over the phone or via e-mail will only be dispatched to the cardholder’s address.

   
 

Ordering & Payment - Via PayPal

1. PayPal accepts Maestro, Solo, Visa, Visa Electron, American Express, MasterCard and Delta. To find out more click here.

2. The customer has 12 hours to cancel an order. Once goods are dispatched the order cannot be cancelled. 

3. When ordering mixed cases, there may be occasions when a bottle may be out of stock. We automatically substitute the bottle with a comparable wine. We will contact you if this happens to seek verification.

4. Goods are normally despatched the next working day. For example, goods ordered on a Friday will be despatched on the following Monday.

Delivery

1. Free local delivery is a service only available when ordering a minimum of 12 bottles of wine and to the following London postcodes:

N1, N4, N5, N7 & N16

2. Deliveries inside those zones are free except when delivery address is inside the congestion charge zone. We will add the charge to your invoice automatically.

3. Deliveries outside those zones will made by courier and charges vary. We will contact you to inform you of any charges.

4. Our free local delivery service can only be next-day when order is offered and accepted before 3pm on any given day. If you cannot agree to our delivery slots then next day delivery may not be possible.

5. Delivery slots can only be between the hours of 11am and 6pm. We cannot agree to a specific time and therefore you will be assigned a delivery 'window' (i.e. 11am to 3pm).

6. You will appreciate that sometimes due to the full allocation of delivery slots, free next day delivery might not be possible. We will inform you if this is the case before the transaction is completed.

Returns

1. Highbury Vintners will be happy to exchange any wines purchased which are corked, tainted or out-of-condition. We would require the bottle and cork returned to us.

2. You will appreciate that stocks are finite in vintages and we may send the next vintage available. If you are unhappy with our decision, then you have 14 days to return to us the goods in a resalable state and we can offer you an exchange.

Glass and Ice Bin Hire

1. The Highbury Vintners Glass Hire service is free of charge but is only available when purchasing at least 12 bottles of wine or sparkling wine from Highbury Vintners.

2. Breakages will be charged at £1.50 per glass and we may require your card details before delivery or collection of the glasses.

3. Glasses and ice bins must be returned within 3 days of collection or delivery.

4. Glasses must be returned clean or a charge of £5 per 24 glasses will be applied.

5. Ice bins are available free of charge but only when you purchase ice from Highbury Vintners.

6. In the event you are unable to return the ice bins a charge of £15 per bin will be applied.

Sale & Return

1. Sale & Return is available for bulk orders and is offered instead of a discount.

2. We regret that we are unable to collect any goods you may wish to return.

3. Goods must be returned in a resalable condition in their original packaging.

4. We will not accept any goods which have been placed in ice bins or differ from their original state in any way.

5. We cannot accept return of goods which we do not normally stock.

Discounts & Special Offers

1. A complimentary discount of 10% will be applied to 12 bottle cases of wine, sparkling wine and British ales.

2. Any goods already on special offer will not recieve any further discount.

3. Special offers and promotions are valid only while stocks last.

4. Flyers or any other promotional material can only be redeemed in store.

Gift Vouchers

1. Gift vouchers may be exchanged for goods of a higher price than the face value of the voucher on payment of the difference.

2. Gift vouches are valid for six months from date of issue and are only redeemable in store.

3. Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.

4. Cash change amount will not exceed £1.

5. Mutilated, damaged or defaced vouchers cannot be exchanged.

6. No liability will be accepted for the replacement or refund of lost, stolen or destroyed vouchers.

Wine Tastings

1. Customers who pay a deposit or purchase tickets for an event will not receive a refund if they cancel within 24 hours of an event .

2. Customers who do not inform us of a cancellation within a reasonable time, risk their name being blacklisted and they will not be able to attend future events.
