Reviews for Adobe Gewurztraminer 2018

Adobe Gewurtztraminer

Though Chile might not be the first country you'd think of for Gewurtz, this is a seriously good and value-for-money example of the grape, with everything that's good about it. Perhaps a bit lighter in colour than normal,it's heady, floral and aromatic on the nose. Jasmine and rose come through very distinctly on the palate and there's really good length to it. Over Christmas we drank it with foie gras - perfect, with a selection of soft cheeses-brilliant, and as a pre-lunch aperitif- excellent. It would, I'm sure pair delightfully too with traditional Asian food. It's high in alcohol(14.5%) so you need to be a bit careful but at £8.50 a bottle you'd be pushed to find better value.
