Meet the winemaker: Zarate from Rias Baixas and Quinta Milu from Ribeira del Duero on Monday 20th February, 7-8.30pm in Frank's Canteen, just down the road from the shop.
We’ve got two of Spain’s most exciting winemakers joining us for a sit down tasting covering two iconic regions. If you like the rich and racy wines from the Albariño grape, come and taste several examples from Zarate, based in the Rias Baixas in Galicia in the far north of Spain. Jancis Robinson has labelled them 'definitely superior' so prepare to be impressed. We'll be showing a rare, oak-aged example from 2009 to whet your appetite. Then we’ll move on to some intense reds from the Tempranillo grape made by Quinta Milu, who are from the same region as Spanish icons Vega Sicilia and Pingus. You’ll get all this for a mere £25
The tasting will be accompanied by a selection of breads, cheese and charcuterie (please let us know if you are vegetarian by calling the shop on 0207 226 1347).
Remember to select "pick up in-store” during checkout to avoid paying the delivery charge. However, you do not need to pick up any tickets beforehand.
