Cantina Terlano Terlaner Classico 2018

A wonderful blend of Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay this is sub-alpine Italian white at its best. Thanks to great vineyard sites the grapes get lots of sunlight creating a wine with soft pear and apricot fruit bound together by a mineral core. A palate of subtle herbs and bright acidity lead to a clean, dry finish. This wine that always gets a thumbs up from Gambero Rosso.

Matthew Jukes, April 4 2014: "I was lucky enough to meet Klaus Gasser of Cantina Terlano the other day for what was one of the pivotal wine tastings of my life.  I am not well versed in the wines from this iconic estate, but in the space of two hours I because a slavering devotee, hanging off the side of every single glass that was poured.  I tasted vintages as far back as 1956 and the wines were incredibly clear, bright, complex and enthralling.  I have never tasted white Burgundies this old that were anywhere near as magical or captivating.  I could devote and entire edition of MoneyWeek to the notes that I wrote about the wines, but you only have to remember the name Terlano.  My featured estate cuvée, a blend of Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, is the first step on a life-changing journey into this unique co-operative winery which was founded back in 1893."
