  • Do I need to be a member of PayPal to order online?

  • No. You can simpy enter your preferred method of payment and once that is complete, we will take over from there.
       
     
       
     
  • What are your opening hours?

    We are open Sunday to Friday 12pm until 9pm and Saturday 11am until 9pm. We are open all year round except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

  • Your independent, so what?

    Size isn't everything. Being independent gives us far more choice than the bigger wine merchants. The majority of our wine producers only make a few thousand bottles a year meaning they could never be sourced by a supermarket or a national chain. The benefit for you is that you have more choice.

    Another benefit with being a small company is that we have smaller overhead costs, which means we can pass on the saving straight to you. We are sure that you will find that we are a lot more flexible too.

  • What is the delivery charge?

    We offer free local delivery on 12 bottle cases of wine. Where this is not possible, we can arrange a courier to deliver it anywhere in the UK. Delivery inside Zones 1 and 2 in London generally costs £12 including VAT. Delivery costs can vary outside these zones so please contact us for a quote.   • What cards do you accept?

    We accept most major debit and credit cards (Maestro, Solo, Visa Electron, Visa and MasterCard) and of course cash. Unfortunately, we do not accept cheques or American Express cards.

  • Do you host wine tastings and how much do they cost?

    Yes and they are absolutely FREE. We arrange for the winemaker or a representative from their wine company to come to the shop and give you the story behind the label. The tastings are set in an informal setting and it's a great way to learn new things about wine. They are free but we would ask that you buy a bottle after tasting the wine to cover the costs of hosting the tasting. For more information, please visit the tasting section.

  • I'm not really sure what wine to buy, can you help me decide?

    Yes. Between all of the staff members, we have tasted all the wines we sell so rest assured we know what they taste like. Furthermore, every staff member has completed at least the WSET Advanced Certificate so we can all advise you on anything from food matching to unsual grape varietals.

  • Do you stock items not found on your website?

    Yes. Currently, we list about 400 wines on our website but you will find well over 1000 in store.

  • Do you stock organic or vegan wines?

    Yes. We stock roughly 30 organic wines and almost all of them are suitable for Vegans. We have a small sample on our website but you will get a much broader selection if you browse in store. Our staff would be happy to help you find what you want.

  • Can you find me a particular wine?

    We will certainly try our best. We source our wine from many suppliers so chances are, if it is imported, we can get it.

  • Can you include a gift message?

    Yes. We can include any message you would like to include. Remember, we also sell gifts bags and other things to dress up your gift perfectly. For more information, please read the gifts section.

  • Can I loan glasses?

    Yes. We offer a free glass loan service to our customers. We only ask that you purchase a minimum of 12 bottles of wine and return the glasses to us clean. For more information, please read the glass section and for terms and conditions please click here.

  • Do you offer case discounts?

    We offer a 10% discount on all 12 bottle cases of wine, sparkling wine and British Ale. You do not have to ask for this discount, it is automatically applied. Unfortunately, the discount does not affect products already on special offer and cannot be used in conjunction with any special promotion we might be running.

  • Can I have a wedding gift list with you?

    Yes. We can build you a wedding gift list to your specifications with an order page on our website so your guests can order easily off us via e-mail or phone. We include messages from your guests and label them accordingly. We can gurantee you will not receive more of a specific product than you want. For more information, please read the wedding page.

  • I have received a faulty bottle of wine, what do I do?

    Unfortunately, corked and out of condition wines are a fact of life in the world of wine. If you are unlucky enough to receive a faulty wine, we would be happy to exchange it for you. However, we do need the bottle, cork and a reasonable amount of wine left in the bottle in order to offer you an exchange.   • What is your Wine Club?

    Our Wine Club has two levels:

    Basic membership – You get informed of our special offers and get invited to our free wine tastings.

    Monthly Club – The same as above except you have a mixed case of wine delivered to your house every month. The case is entirely specified to suit your tastes and we will include wine we know you haven’t had but should like according to your responses.
